to the artists, designers and craftspeople who think I call their work kitsch... this is NOT the case, it refers to my own work

Krijn Giezen - part 2

"Krijn Giezen - draughtsman, assembling artist, sculptor and architect - dedicated his œuvre to the principles of recuperation and inventiveness. Developing his works, Giezen always worked within the context of the environment where they would end up, initiating projects adapted to the exhibition’s specific location.
Giezen (NL), known as an important assemblage artist in the sixties, pioneered in land art and ecological and conceptual art."

I just love this kind of humour

"The Miscanthus sinensis ‘Cosmopolitan’ reed plant is on display in a glass box in an exhibition room. Small servo motors attached to the plant make the stems move. These motors are networked with a reed plant by the pond on the Verbeke Foundation domain. A sensor measures the inclination of the stem caused by the wind. The free movements of the outdoor plant are captured and transmitted as instructions for the domesticated plant indoors."
