Vent des Forêts - hidden art

Along a small trail in the dense forest we find the surprising work of Lorentino  "cherchez cachée" meaning something like "look for hidden".  And indeed it is not obvious to spot this from a distance between the trees.

We saw this work the second day of our long forest walk and it is part of another we spotted the first day quite some distance from this one.

Le Vent des Forêts - Wind in the Forest

In July, six villages in the forest - in the Meuse region (France) - invite international artists to take a different look at nature and create works displayed along a 45- kilometre footpath through 5.000 hectares of forest. About 90 from the 165 works made since 1997 are still on the site.  Accessible every year from February until late September.

Bones & Trees & History

The Archéoforum is a subterranean space under the Saint Lambert square in Liège - Belgium. The excavation site takes you on a tour through 9000 years of history of the city.
A unique space where 14 artists were invited to exhibit works.

Centuries old remnants discovered after excavations meet contemporary art.  Claire Begon in the background.

Daniel Von Weinberger - extravagant jewelry

PLASTIQUE C'EST CHIC. BIJOUX ÉTERNELS

The first time I saw this jewelry was exactly three years ago in a shop window during VITRINE 2007 in Antwerp.  I was very intrigued and surprised.  A current exhibition makes me marvel even more...
